About Kathy Hickson
I’m Kathy Hickson, a storyteller at heart—whether I’m breathing life into characters on stage or spinning magical tales on the page. From the time I was little, I found joy in imagining new worlds and scribbling down stories. Many of the tales I write today are inspired by those early sparks of creativity, shaped by the curious and wonder-filled eyes of my younger self.
As a mum of two and a proud grandma of five, I’ve had the joy of watching children grow, explore, and dream—and those everyday moments often become the heart of my stories. I believe stories have the power to connect generations, spark imagination, and help children see the magic in the world around them.
With a background in theatre and a lifelong love of words, I bring warmth, humour, and a touch of adventure to everything I write. Whether you’re reading with your little one at bedtime or encouraging a young reader to discover their first favourite book, I hope my stories bring joy, laughter, and just a little bit of wonder.
